Digital image of Manes and the Šítkovská Tower bask in golden twilight in Prague. Manes, the house for the Association of Fine Artist was proposed and designed in 1887 as an exhibition hall and center for contemporary artists. It was built with Cubist and functional concepts with minimalist ideas. The interior space is maximized by sliding panels and hanging system with the use of natural light. The interior was decorated with Cubist paintings. The design was realized in 1930 by Jan Kotera after a plan of Otakar Novotný. The building includes a clubroom and restaurant with panoramic view of Prague. It is situated on Slovanský Island. The Cubist frescoes are by Emil Filla which decorate the ceiling. The 15th century Gothic Šítkovská Tower stands aflame with golden fire of an evening October sun.
